Chandigarh: Local girl Vibhuti Khullar grabbed the girls’under-12 singles beating Simran Wadhwa of Delhi in straight sets 6-4, 6-1 in the AITA Talent Series Tennis Tournament at the CLTA Stadium in Sector 10, here, today.
Manish Kumar of Delhi won double title. Second seed Manish Kumar of Delhi emerged winner in the boys under-14, the Delhi lad upset Rishab Deb of Punjab whom he beat in straight sets 6-3, 6-2.Manish later combined with Nischay Rawat of Chandigarh to claim the boys doubles title beating Punjab duo of Rishab Dev and Amit Bzad 6-3, 7-6 (5).
Amit Bzad, a trainee of Harvest Tennis Academy of Jasowal (Ludhiana) completed a double by winning the boys under-12 singles final. Second seeded Amit toppled top seed Jatinder Singh of Chandigarh in three sets 6-2, 1-6, 7-5. Rajbir Singh also recorded a double delight by winning the girls under-14 as well as girls under-14 doubles titles. In the singles final, Rajbir defeated Riya Bhatia of Delhi 6-0, 6-1.
Eventually, Rajbir and Hasan Abdal Dhanoa (Pb) got the better of Haryana pair of Deepti Rana (Har) and Shweta Sangwan (Har) 6-4, 1-6, 10-6 in the girls under-14 doubles final.
