PEC grabs badminton title

Chandigarh: The Panjab Engineering College (PEC), Chandigarh drubbed Thapar University, Patiala, 2-1 in the girls’ category while 3-1 in the boys’ category to clinch the Inter-Engineering Deemed University Badminton championship held at PEC, here, today.

In the singles’ encounter, Samridhi (PEC) got the better off Kana Bhardwaj (Thapar University (21-10, 21-14) while Neha (PEC) outclassed Sneha (21-8, 22-20).

NIT Kurukshetra and NIT Jalandhar secured third positions respectively in the tournament.
