Chandigarh: DAV Senior Secondary School, Sector 8 ‘A’ team won the Adviser’s Cup by defeating Sanjay Public School, Sector-44 by seven wickets in the final of Inter-School Under-19 Limited Overs Cricket Tournament organised by Chandigarh Administration at the Sector-16 Cricket Stadium here today.
SPS won the toss and elected to bat first. Anil Sihag played an unbeaten knock of 103 runs which consisted of eight fours and lasted for 114 minutes. Sanjay Public School posted a respectable total of 234 runs. Chasing a victory target of 235, DAV ‘A’ team achieved the target in 38 overs and in the process lost just three wickets.
