Chandigarh: Two persons were arrested for doping a passenger and stealing his cash and cell phone at Chandigarh railway station on Sunday.
The duo was arrested in a joint operation launched by Government Railway Police (GRP) and Railway Protection Force (RPF).
According to the police, the duo had duped one Keshav Sharma of Rs 8,000 and two mobile phones at Kalka railway station few days ago.
Keshav fell unconsicious after eating bread pakoras offered by one of the accused.
The GRP and RPF team under Balkar Singh and Sukhdev Singh led a trap for the duo after Keshav confirmed their identity.
The accused Dharmendra (26) and Vinod (30) were arrested outside the railway station.
The police have lodged an FIR under Section 328 and 379 of IPC.
